Preparing for the Bazaar

August 23, 2023 By TJ Remaley

Presbyterian Women of Southminster are super excited to host a Holiday Bazaar again this year! Here it is already approaching September, and the bazaar is coming up fast! Mark Your Calendar for Fri., October 27 and Sat., October 28, 2023

Please consider what you can make and donate for the sale and if you can volunteer some time to help! Many hands make light work for all and ensure we have a fun and successful bazaar.

Suggestions for items to donate:

  • Baked Goods of any kind, gift containers with candy
  • Home Sewn Items: table runners, placemats, potholders, aprons, pillows, tree skirts, baby blankets, bibs, quilted items of any kind
  • Holiday: floral arrangements, wreaths, decorations, Christmas trees, table decorations, dishes, and kitchen items
  • Woodworking: birdhouses, birdfeeders, planters, serving boards, signs
  • Handmade Gifts: crochet, knitting, kid’s toys, soap, sachets, cards, picture frames, jewelry boxes
  • Gift Baskets
  • Costume Jewelry
  • Antiques
  • Collectables
  • Artwork: pottery, paintings, drawings, clay, macramé, painted rocks
  • Potted plants, terrariums, fairy gardens

Our shoppers really like that we have a variety of things at our sale!

Set-Up: We will set up starting Monday table set up and continue Tuesday – Thursday getting everything in place, priced and ready to open Friday AM.

Contacts: Carolyn Warner, Darleen Brown, Sara Nevill (Gloria Levis is the volunteer coordinator)

NOTE: The proceeds from the sale are split three ways: PWS Mission, PWS Leadership, and SPC Church Enhancement. (a copy of PWS financials can be found in the SPC 2022 Yearend Report)
