An open and affirming community, seeking a caring and just society.

Our Leadership

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), our church is led by ruling elders – people who are called by God and elected through the voice of the congregation to serve three year terms on the Session (which is basically a Presbyterian term for a governing board). The Session is responsible for the mission and governance of the church of Jesus Christ in this place. Our Session gathers monthly to discern the movement of God’s Spirit in its deliberations, and to pray for the church’s ministries, members, and friends.

The Board of Deacons is responsible for the ministries of caregiving, compassion, and service in the life of the congregation. Deacons are called by God and elected through the voice of the congregation to serve three year terms.
