Southminster responds to God’s call to be peacemakers, as we serve alongside our mission partners in sharing God’s inclusive love in our community, nation, and world. We are committed to the work of gender and racial justice, ending hunger and poverty, and promoting peace.
Our congregation has longstanding relationships with organizations such as Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Life & Witness, and the Covenant Network of Presbyterians. Southminster is also proud to be a Matthew 25 congregation of the PC(USA), covenanting to do our part in the work of (1) eradicating systemic poverty; (2) dismantling structural racism; and (3) building congregational vitality.

We are a leading supporter of the Community Pantry at Grace Jordan Elementary School. Since its inception, we have supplied over 90% of the food, household goods, and toiletries at the pantry.
We are a proud member of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, seeking an equity still not fully realized for LGBTQIA+ people in church and society. Our pastor, Rev. TJ Remaley, serves on its board.
Bread for the World is a non-partisan advocacy organization that equips and educates people of faith with the tools to urge U.S. decision makers to do all they can to pursue a world without hunger.
Interfaith Justice Idaho brings together people of diverse faiths and beliefs in our state to champion religious freedom, protect democracy, and build inclusive communities.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and agencies of the PC(USA) to care for national and global communities adversely affected by crises and catastrophic events.
The mission of Life’s Kitchen is to transform the lives of young adults by building self-sufficiency and independence through comprehensive food service training and education.
