For many of us, Christmas can be a bittersweet time of year, where joy and gratitude mixes with grief and loss. On this Winter Solstice—the night of longest darkness in our hemisphere—we’ll gather with some of our ecumenical friends on the Boise Bench for a quiet meditative worship service that makes time for remembering, sharing our hurting places with God, and preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ.

This service will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church (2920 Cassia St, Boise), with participation from All Saints Episcopal, Immanuel Lutheran, Redeemer Lutheran, Whitney United Methodist Church, and Southminster.

This month, our Sabbath weekend falls on the same weekend as Boise Pride. To celebrate with our LGBTQIA+ members and friends, our Sabbath Worship service for September will proclaim inclusive love for the world as we celebrate our diversity together.

Join us in the sanctuary at 5:00pm on Saturday evening for an uplifting PRIDE worship. Bonus: since we’ll have no worship on Sunday morning, it’s even easier to join our congregation’s group in the Pride Parade!

Are you ready for some corny jokes that will make your eyes roll? By popular request, we will again worship in the style of “Holy Humor” for our April Sabbath service, Saturday April 13. Our Saturday Night Alive worship service will include upbeat music, lots of laughter, and joyful community — all in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Plan to come dressed in your brightest colors and/or a silly costume. You’re encouraged to bring a joke or two in case you’re asked to make the congregation laugh.

Palm Sunday (Sunday March 24) — Worship at 9:30am, with Coffee Hour following. We’ll also have an opportunity to stuff Easter Eggs as we prepare for the upcoming Community Easter Egg Hunt!

Maundy Thursday (Thursday March 28) — Worship at First Presbyterian Church of Boise at 7:00pm, with Rev. TJ Remaley preaching. We are partnering with our friends at FPC Boise for this service.

Good Friday (Friday March 29) — Worship at Southminster at 7:00pm, with Rev. Dr. Andrew Kukla preaching. Our friends from FPC Boise will be partnering with us for this service.

Easter Sunday (Sunday March 31) — Easter morning worship service at 9:30am!
