Grace Jordan Community Pantry
In 2022, our neighbors at Grace Jordan Elementary School approached us with a dream: “We want to open a community pantry to support our students and families. Can you help?”
From the very beginning, Southminster has been a vital mission partner in making that dream a reality. Today, our congregation supplies approximately 90% of the items on the pantry shelves—helping ensure that children and their families have what they need and no one goes hungry. Thanks be to God for this gift of abundance, and for the ongoing, prayerful support of Southminster’s members and friends.
Below is a list of items regularly needed to keep the pantry stocked throughout the school year. A shopping cart is available in the Narthex/Lobby for donated goods. In addition to this list, we’ll occasionally post a “Greatest Needs” list for items that are running low or out of stock.
We also gladly accept monetary donations. Checks may be made out to Southminster Presbyterian Church with “Grace Jordan Pantry” in the memo line.
