The PC(USA) Office of Public Witness is launching a new monthly series called the “Presbyterian Advocacy Hour.” These monthly meetings will gather virtually via Zoom on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 10:00am MST. Each session will begin with spiritual grounding before moving into in-depth analysis of key issues facing our nation and world. There will also be opportunities for net- working, movement-building, and community organizing efforts. Advance Registration is required, by visiting: pcusa.info/advocacyhourregistration
PWS Thoughts for October
We had a great turnout for our first PWS Gathering of the year on September 4th. We en- joyed a luncheon of a variety of fresh salads and a plethora of fellowship.
Our next Gathering will be on October 2nd at 11A with a program by Giraffe Laugh, a local non-profit that provides early childhood education to Treasure Valley children. Join us if you can. We’d love to meet you.
Please check the posted flyers throughout the church for a list of items needed for our annual holiday bazaar at the end of the month, and don’t forget to come and shop!
Sunday School Begins September 8
Our Sunday School classes are starting up on Sept. 8th. Children are invited to wait at the stairs in the Narthex/Lobby after the church service to meet their teachers. Big news: we are breaking out a separate class for 6th and 7th graders! Please come join us for 30 minutes after worship each Sunday for a short lesson and games while the adults are visiting over coffee.
SAGES Lunch Gathering – Sept 19
The first SAGES Lunch & Learn gathering will be Thursday September 19, with lunch at 11:30am and a program to follow. A representative from AARP will be with us to present the latest info on fraud and scams. The cost for the meal will be $10/ each. To ensure we have enough food, please RSVP to Roger & Darleen Brown, Kathryn Nicholas, Rex Reagan, or contact the church office.

July 24th: Fill the packs and take them to the sanctuary
July 28th: blessing of the backpacks
PWS is grateful for anyone who can help!
Many hands make light work.
