Holy Week Worship Schedule

You are warmly invited to join us as we worship together this Holy Week.

Palm Sunday (Sunday April 2) — Worship at 9:30am, with Coffee Hour following. We’ll also have an opportunity to stuff Easter Eggs as we prepare for the upcoming Community Easter Egg Hunt!

Maundy Thursday (Thursday April 6) — Worship at Southminster at 7:00pm, with Rev. Andrew Kukla preaching. Our friends from First Presbyterian Church of Boise will be partnering in this service.

Good Friday (Friday April 7) — Worship at First Presbyterian Church of Boise at 7:00pm, with Rev. TJ Remaley preaching. We are partnering with our friends at FPC Boise for this service.

Easter Sunday (Sunday April 9) — Easter morning worship service at 9:30am. A brunch potluck follows, and all are welcome to attend this time of table fellowship.

(Important Worship Note: This is a difference from our usual monthly worship routine. Our monthly Sabbath Worship will be April 15 — the 3rd Saturday — for the month of April only, with no worship on Sunday April 16.)

Community Easter Egg Hunt – 4/8 at 10am

Our friends and neighbors in the Boise’s South Bench are invited to a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 8, 2023 at 10:00am. Children of every age are invited to participate.

We hope the weather will allow us to hide eggs in Southminster’s “Grove,” which is a grassy and tree-lined area between our church parking lot and Grace Jordan Elementary. Bring your basket (extra bags will be available).

Thanks to our friends and neighbors from Whitney United Methodist Church who are joining us to make this fun morning happen!

Easter Sunday Brunch

Please join the SPC family for an Easter Breakfast following worship on April 9th. We will meet in the fellowship hall to accommodate all who may attend. Please let us know what you would like to bring on the sign-up sheet in narthex. If you cannot bring anything, no problem—we still want you to join us to celebrate and socialize! Questions? Upcoming SAGES Gatherings

We have two remaining SAGES Lunch and Learn gatherings in the winter/spring season. On March 30, 2023 (rescheduled from 3/16) we’ll have a catered lunch at 11:30am with a program to follow. Cathy McDougall, Director of Outreach for AARP Idaho will cover current scams, what makes people vulnerable to scams, and how a person can protect themselves. She will discuss how technology is opening doors to scams. Then, on May 18, 2023, we’ll gather for a catered lunch at 11:30am, followed by a special concert offered by our friends and neighbors from the Grace Jordan school choir.

Mexican Train Dominoes

On Thursdays at 1 PM there will be a group playing Mexican Train in the Narthex. Never played? No problem! Each week the group will meet for about two hours. On days where SAGES meets the group will play aft er SAGES is done. No need to sign up. Just drop by when you can! Call Carolyn Warner to learn more.

Sabbath Weekends

Worship on the Second Saturday of the month is at 5:00pm. The next morning is a day of Sabbath rest, with no worship or activities.

Our Denomination

We are an active congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a member of the Presbytery of Boise.
