During our worship service on Sunday August 28, we’ll celebrate the gift of sacred music from around the world. As Presbyterians who trace our spiritual roots through places like Scotland and Switzerland, much of our classical hymnody has traditionally come from Western nations. Thus, this particular Sunday, many of the hymns we’ll sing will center the voices of African, Asian, and Latin American cultures.
Come ready to sing a couple familiar classics and lots of brand new hymns too!
Action Required: Living as Faithful Disciples
A Four Week Sermon Series (7/9, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31)
Worship in July will include a four week sermon series reflecting upon what disciples of Christ are called to do. Using the lectionary gospel texts, we will consider how Luke’s gospel invites us to live out the prophet Micah’s command to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly.
