I believe that all will be happy to hear that we have the okay to go back to having lunch at Gatherings. We will gather at 11:00 on Oct 5th. The circle assignments are: Ruth: Set Up; Merry Martha and Rachel: Food; Naomi: Clean Up. We are looking forward to hearing from the Grace Jordan counselor at our October Gathering. The congregation has been very supportive of the families that have children there. Come hear about them and her program of support.

At the end of October we have some exciting events happening at Southminster. The Bazaar on the 21 and 22, then on the 29th we will be hosting the Boise Presbyterian Womens’ Gathering. Our own Deanna Watson will be the speaker. Come at 9:00 to sign in and have a snack, then at 9:30 the meeting will begin. Lunch is $7 at noon. So come and enjoy our life in Christ.

The summer has been full of rejoicing that COVID is slowing down, but sad to say it is not letting its grip get too loose. So we will stay the course with safety and not have a luncheon at our fall Gathering in September. We will have a program on the 7th at 1:00 pm. Business meeting first and then we will have an overview of the new 2022-2023 study called Celebrating Sabbath, presented by Jackie Benjamin. “Celebrating Sabbath is an invitation to not only study the Sabbath but to explore how Sabbath practices can be life giving for us,” says Rev. Rosalind Banbury. Masks are recommended.

Bring your smiles and a friend to join in celebrating our life of comradeship and communion together. What is a church for but to bring God’s family together to share in His love? You are all very special.
