Our monthly “Brewed for Thought” gatherings continue on the 4th Sunday of every month at Casa Mexico on Fairview Avenue. A group gathers for dinner, drinks, and conversation around a theological or ethical topic. Thanks to Nina Chambers for organizing the group and facilitating conversation!
SAGES Lunch & Learn — Nov 21 at 11:30am
The next SAGES Lunch & Learn will be Thursday November 21, beginning with lunch at 11:30am. Leading our program will be Pastor TJ, who will update us on the ministries of our church, presbytery, and denomination.
All are welcome to attend. To ensure enough lunch is available, you are encouraged to RSVP to Roger Brown, Darleen Brown, Kathryn Nicholas, or by contacting the Church Office.
Fall Potluck – Sept 22
With the weather starting to cool down and school starting back up it seems like a wonderful time to gather in fellowship. The Connections Committee would like to invite everyone to participate in our Fall Potluck in the Grove on Sunday September 22nd, following the worship service. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the Narthex for what you would like to bring. Please join us and dazzle us with your cooking expertise. Should the weather not cooperate we will move the potluck inside, otherwise we have the tables in the Grove or you can bring your own if you would like. The first SAGES Lunch & Learn gathering will be Thursday September 19, with lunch at 11:30am and a program to follow. A representative from AARP will be with us to present the latest info on fraud and scams. The cost for the meal will be $10/ each. Want to Get a Head Start on Book Club?
The Southminster Book Club meets by Zoom at 7:00pm on the first Thursday of every month, from September-May. All are welcome to participate as you’re able.
