The next SAGES Lunch & Learn will be Thursday November 21, beginning with lunch at 11:30am. Leading our program will be Pastor TJ, who will update us on the ministries of our church, presbytery, and denomination.
All are welcome to attend. To ensure enough lunch is available, you are encouraged to RSVP to Roger Brown, Darleen Brown, Kathryn Nicholas, or by contacting the Church Office.
Get ready for some spooktacular fun! Join us for our annual Trunk-or-Treat on October 26th from 6-8 PM in the church parking lot. It’s going to be a night full of creative trunks, candy galore, and lots of laughter!
Want to join the fun by decorating your trunk? Sign-ups are available in the Narthex, or you can email the church office to get on the list. Not feeling trunk-y but still want to con- tribute? Candy donations are NEEDED and WELCOME—whether you’re decorating a trunk or just want to help fill the candy bowls!
All leftover candy will be donated to the teachers at Grace Jordan Elementary for their prize boxes. Let’s make this a sweet night for everyone!
We can’t wait to see you there—costumes encouraged, fun guaranteed!
Mark your calendar and plan to join us October 18 and 19 for our annual Holiday Bazaar, sponsored by the Presbyterian Women of Southminster (PWS). This event is PWS’s largest fundraiser of the year, and supports mission priorities within and beyond the walls of our congregation.
You’ll find lots of irresistible treats and items at the bazaar — creative decorations, handmade items, home baked goods, holiday decor, gifts, jewelry, houseplants, pictures, collectibles, pottery, theme baskets, and so much more!
Friday October 18 from 9:00am to 2:00pm
Saturday October 19 from 9:00am to 3:00pm
We’ve been learning about many things wrong in our society – here is something we can do to change that! By working together we can touch more people’s lives. Please join our Adult Ed class this fall to write non-partisan letters to encourage people (who are registered voters but have not been participating) that their vote can make a difference!
This Adult Ed. class will begin on Sunday September 8 following coffee fellowship.
With the weather starting to cool down and school starting back up it seems like a wonderful time to gather in fellowship. The Connections Committee would like to invite everyone to participate in our Fall Potluck in the Grove on Sunday September 22nd, following the worship service. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the Narthex for what you would like to bring. Please join us and dazzle us with your cooking expertise. Should the weather not cooperate we will move the potluck inside, otherwise we have the tables in the Grove or you can bring your own if you would like.
