Volunteer at our Boise Pride Booth!

September 2, 2024 By SPC

It’s that time of year! Members and friends of Southminster are invited to join in the celebration as we show God’s love to all in our community.

Who: All of us!
What: We will have a booth at the Pride festival, and we will have a float in the parade this year featuring our puppet team. Sign up to staff the booth, and please come march or ride in the parade!
When: September 14 and 15. We will set up starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. The booth will be open all day on the 14th and on the 15th until 5 p.m. or so. The parade will be on Sunday, September 15 at 9:00am. Remember: since the 14th is a Sabbath worship service, you can march or ride in the parade with Southminster during regular church time on Sunday morning. 🙂
Where: Cecil Andrus Park, downtown Boise
Why: Because we love God and love people, and we want to show God’s love to all in our community

Help Wanted for Boise Pride 2024

June 3, 2024 By TJ Remaley

Are you ready to share God’s inclusive love with our community? Boise Pride will be September 13-15, 2024. Southminster will again host a booth on Saturday and Sunday, and also hope for a large turnout for the parade on Sunday morning. Want to help with planning? Contact Pastor TJ.

NOTE: we hope to have a float this year! Do you have a truck and/or a trailer to drive our Puppet Team in the parade? Contact Pastor TJ.

Have you ever wanted to be on a float in a parade? Have you ever thought about joining the puppet team but you don’t really have the time for a long term commitment? Here’s your chance to fulfill both of those dreams! We need a few people to join the puppet team for a performance on a float in the Pride parade. Practices will be scattered throughout the summer and will work around the schedules of those preforming. No prior experience needed. Let Drew Harenberg or the office know if you are interested.
